Duff is an unabashed golf addict. Out of the foursome of golfers he is the second best golfer and Clay's best friend. He is married to Rosie, has a son, works full-time, and therefore has the arduous task of trying to fit his life into his golf schedule. Duff cuts every corner and saves every penny to squeeze in one more game of golf, instead of taking Rosie out on the town. |

Rosie is Duff's long-suffering wife. She runs the home, works full-time, pays the bills, maintains a life of her own, becomes pregnant, begins to raise a baby (two if you count Duff), and takes on the most difficult take of all... trying to keep Duff as much involved in the process as possible. Her major tug-of-war is with Clay, Duff's best friend, who is continually after him to chase that little white ball. |

Clay is the best golfer of the foursome and is best friend to Duff. Golf is Clay's life, and Clay's life is golf. All possible energies are poured into his habit, and since he is unencumbered by the responsibilities of family life, Clay is a continual temptation to Duff. Every waking thought and energy is poured into lowering his handicap. It is no wonder then that Clay is single and lives with his dog Birdy. |

Putts is far and away the worst golfer of the foursome. A bad slice, a bad marriage, and a short tempter make for quite a combustible combination on the golf course. However, as bad as that sounds, Putts seems to be a character that people can truly relate to. Despite his struggles in life and on the course, Putts keeps coming back for more. |

Here we have the third best golfer of the bunch. His life is the ring, with life and work duking it out in the center. As his handicap reflects, it is work that usually wins this bout. But the fight rages on. |

Carrie is the local golf pro. Being smart, beautiful and a scratch golfer can be a tough pill for the guys to swallow, but she still dishes this medicine out to them each week. Shin is in love with her, Clay will not rest until he beats her, and Duff is racked with false guilt from having a beautiful golf pro. Carrie takes it all in stride and makes the boys better golfers in the process. |

Marvin is the course marshal. He is a retired policeman who takes his job a little too seriously. Much to his dismay, he does not get a side arm with his job or lights on the top of his golf cart. Still, a marshal who takes his job seriously should not be mocked... well, maybe a little. |

Dimples offers the perspective of the golf ball. How would you like to be smacked around 80 times in one day? |
